BEANtage Café in Vigan City

I always love myself a good cup of coffee, so getting to try out BEANtage Café got me giddy. Located at the heart of Vigan, this coffee shop is a great hangout place for locals and tourists alike.

BEANtage Café: An Overview

One can easily spot where BEANtage Café is. Located at Salcedo Street, you can take a short walk from Calle Crisologo to reach the cafe. Of course, I am a local, so I drove going there.

If you’re commuting, you can always tell the tricycle drivers to take you to the cafe in front of Planet Earth (that’s what we did the first time because it was raining hard and we could not really walk or drive going there).

You can immediately spot the establishment because of its large signage. Its name, a portmanteau of vintage and bean, made me think of the place as having a very retro feel.

Its outside look did not disappoint, especially since it is located along the cobblestoned Salcedo Street.

The interior of the cafe is charming and chic. It is embellished to look vintage yet minimalist at best. I, for one, am a fan of its bright white aesthetic since I cannot think of another establishment in Vigan City that has that.

The ambiance is homey, and it is inviting its customers to stay and hang out there for a while. The jazz cafe music and its lighting add to its cozy ambiance as well.

The cafe also has a mezzanine where additional seats can be found. There is a strategic area where you can seat on the ground and just chill out. Overall, the ambiance is great for me.

Menu at BEANtage Café

Let’s talk about the beverage and food of BEANtage Café. I think that their menu is affordable. Those with a sweet tooth can order milk tea options such as Wintermelon and Okinawa.

They also have fruit tea, milkshakes, and frappe options for you to try.

For caffeine lovers, you could try their coffee options. I personally like their Spanish Latte and Matcha Espresso.

If you’re kind of health-conscious like me, you can request to have them lessen the sweetness of their drinks.

As per their food, I personally liked their BEANtage pasta the most because of the clash of flavors that is so savory.

If you’re hanging out with your friends, you can try their snacks and sandwiches, many of which are good for sharing. Chicken platters are also available for sharing.

All-day breakfast dishes are available as well. You can choose from Filpino, American, and Mexican breakfast dishes to order.

Wrapping Up

Getting to experience the ambiance, food, and coffee of BEANtage Café was something that I looked forward to, and I was not disappointed.

With a cozy atmosphere and a delicious menu, the coffee shop is something that I look forward to going back to again.
