Whenever I would want to chill out, I always go to a good cafe and unwind while eating my favorite comfort food. So when I headed to Candon City in Ilocos Sur to relax with my companions, I instantly searched for a good cafe to go to. Fortunately, we chanced upon the charming Bonita’s Cafe.
Bonita’s Cafe: An Overview
Since we came from Vigan, the PUV stopped by the terminal that is situated beside CSI Candon. From there, we took a tricycle heading to the cafe. Bonita’s Cafe is found behind a well-known grocery store in the city. There is signage that you can find outside the cafe, so you would immediately find it.
Upon entering Bonita’s Cafe, we were welcomed by its delightful ambiance, coupled with jazz music and that sweet aroma of a cafe that I really like. The place was truly inviting when you were inside.
The Menu at Bonita’s Cafe
The staff when we went there was very accommodating. They gave us the chance to pick our table to sit on before handing out their menu.
Surprisingly, their menu consists of all my favorite dishes – pasta in particular. However, they only have a handful of options for beverages.
As a coffee person, I was kind of bummed they only served iced coffee. But to their benefit, the iced coffee that they served is strong. It is also just the right level of sweet for my taste.
Overall, their food options were so delicious. My favorite so was their lasagna roll-up because it was baked to perfection. It is so cheesy and savory. My companions also thought that the dishes that they ordered were delicious.
My sister further mentioned that it was now her new standard of an exquisite cafe because of how scrumptious their food was. I wish I have tried what they ordered, too. Especially that roasted chicken, which was a specialty of their restaurant. There is always next time.
Before we headed out, I bought cookies that they sell. I can sell that the cookies are affordable, considering how thick and delicious they taste.

With its laidback ambiance and delicious dishes, Bonita’s Cafe is a must-see foodie destination in Candon City. Being the “Home of Ensaybadass, Cinnamon Rolls, and Cakes,” you will surely satisfy your cravings and more.
