Petits Gateaux KNG in Vigan City

Petits Gateaux KNG recently relocated to a bigger space in Vigan City, which made me more excited than ever. I mean, more coffee shop options I can visit when I want to work outside. In this article, I’ll cover this relatively new coffee shop in Vigan that I frequently visit for a good cup of coffee.

Petits Gateaux KNG: an Overview

Petits Gateaux KNG is found in Nan Chong Building, along Bonifacio Street in Vigan. It’s a few steps from Calle Crisologo, so you can easily find it while strolling along Vigan.

This coffee shop is nestled in an antique establishment. Hence, you can feel the charm of old Vigan just by looking at its exterior. You can already check their menu from the outside.

It boasts of a regal interior, with chandeliers illuminating the cafe and upholstered chairs for customer comfort. If anything, this is one of the few coffee shops in Vigan City that deviates from the usual antiquated or vintage ambiance.

I personally like how homey the interior is. That’s why I spend long hours here whenever I work. The ambiance makes me want to stay more than usual. But, of course, it cannot be denied that they are trying to pull off a cozy Parisian vibe to suit the shop’s name.

The Food and Drinks at Petits Gateaux KNG

As per the menu, Petits Gateaux KNG has a lot of things to offer. They have the usual drinks to order in a cafe, but they are more suited to my taste. Looking at the names of the dishes and drinks on their menu, many of them are also French-inspired.

Drinks

As a coffee person, I would always order from their coffee lattes. What makes this coffee shop different from the other cafes in Vigan is that you could actually customize your cup.

First, you would choose your latte – whether it be Classic Latte or Spanish Latte. Then, you would select the size and whether it would be hot or cold. You can settle for the two options, but you could also choose your flavor, whether it be sauce-based (white chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel) or syrup-based (almond, hazelnut, peppermint, vanilla).

They also have barista recommendations: Dark Choco Mint, Vanilla Caramel, White Choc Hazelnut, and White Choco Almond.

They also have coffee-based drinks like Java Chip, Toffee Caramel, and Dark Mocha Peppermint.

I am also a fan of their Les Citrus (citrus series) and fruit teas. I recommend strawberry fruit tea, although it’s pretty sweet for my palate.

They also have other classic drinks such as their Classique milk tea series, Fromage Frais (cream cheese series), Gateau au Fromage (cheesecake series), La Crème (Cream puff series), and Sel Geme (rock salt series).

Non-coffee options such as cookies & cream, Belgian choco, milk strawberry, and matcha are also available.

Food

Petits Gateaux KNG Cafe has several delicious food options to choose from.

They have pasta, Ailes de Poulet (Chicken Wings), Les Frites (French fries), sandwiches, quesadillas, and all-day breakfast options.

For pasta, I highly recommend their Pasta Marinara con Manzo and Carbonara Alla Romana. If you want snacks that are worth it, you can opt for Fries and Dip or Chicken Popcorn. I almost always order the latter whenever I go there.

They also serve cakes and pastries at times. The last time I went there, I ordered triple chocolate cookies. And wow, they were truly delicious. I don’t have a sweet tooth, but I thought the cookie’s sweetness was just right for my palate.

Wrapping Up

I’ve returned to Petits Gateaux KNG many times already, and I plan to return anytime soon. As a matter of fact, it is already my new go-to coffee shop in Vigan. Its delicious menu and cozy Parisian-inspired interior make it a cafe worth trying when in Vigan.
